Protest Through Poetry is an international collective of BIPOC poets and writers that came together in 2020 to affirm BLM and explore poetry as a form of protest and activism. We were asked to design and publish a physical anthology of their poems.

We wanted to create a bold but simple design, that gave voice and space to the poems, and chose a typeface for the cover that was reminiscent of the typography on protest signs from the Civil Rights movment. We also placed a strong emphasis on the names and stories of the poets.
